Overview:
The Nokia N97 Mini is a little less than 10% smaller than the full size N97 and in order to reduce the weight, a little has been shaved off the screen size, internal memory and battery. The navigation pad has gone, but the excellent QWERTY keyboard remains. The screen size has been reduced to 3.2 inches and memory down to 8GB, which is expandable to 24GB. Remaining is the high quality camera with Carl Zeiss optics as well as DVD quality recording and editing. The N97 Mini still retains the same sliding mechanism as the larger 97.
The functional QWERTY keyboard opens at a 35% angle and makes a nice addition to the phone's elegance and finesse.
As with any N-series, the Nokia N97 Mini also comes packed with the most up to date software and applications, which includes Nokia maps displaying Satellite imagery and Geo-tagging. The GPS enables the user to find their way around and with Wi-Fi and HSDPA support, giving fast internet connectivity, the Nokia N97 Mini makes it the ideal phone for both business and pleasure use._

Just like the Nokia N97 the Nokia N97 mini comes with a Slide-n-tilt 3.2\\\" touchscreen with an vivid 16 Million colours and 640 x 360 pixel resolution.
The 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual-LED flash which is a must when taking photos in low light or in the dark. The Nokia N97 Mini of course has good video capabilities having an impressive VGA camera recording at 30fps.
Nokia\\\'s very latest Symbian OS 9.4 with S60 5th edition UI is of course included with the their latest edition to the N-Series. One of the latest features with this OS is kinetic scrolling which makes a marked and very welcome improvement to both normal menus and the internet browsing experience.
Take the N97 mini in your hands, flip up the screen to reveal Slide out three row full QWERTY keyboard. It has been noted that the keys are a little smaller than its big brother the Nokia N97 but are still more than large enough with adequate spacing to be comfortable for those we larger hands.
The D-pad use in the Nokia N97 has been replaced with a 4 way arrow key with the enter key nearby compensating for its absence when the d-pad was replaced.
ARM 11 434MHz CPU and 128 MB of RAM helps makes the Nokia N97 mini a little snapper when using the array of widgets and navigation compared to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which runs a similar interface.
The moniker mini in Nokia N97 mini is by now means negative with excellent build quality and functionality. If you have had a Nokia before you will be used to the interface and impressed with the new improvements in Navigation.
So of the other features to Note are:
Quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G with 3.6Mbps HSDPA support for fast internet connectivity
Wi-Fi and GPS with A-GPS
Web browser has full Flash and Java support
Digital compass
8GB onboard storage
microSD card slot with microSDHC support
Built-in accelerometer
3.5 mm audio jack and TV-out
Stereo FM Radio with RDS
microUSB port (charging) and stereo Bluetooth v2.0
Nice audio reproduction quality
Office document viewer
